Join Deb Roberts from World of Quilts Travel with Sue Spargo, Sue Daley and Sylvia Pippen for this 'Down Under' cruise adventure.  Departing from Sydney, Australia onboard Princess Cruise Lines, Diamond Princess®,  our cruise includes a fabulous 14 day itinerary with quilting classes and activities you will not want to miss.  In port quilt shop lists will be provided as well as opportunities to visit with quilters from the area.

 

Between Sydney and our disembarkation port, Auckland, New Zealand, our cruise will call on the ports of Hobart, Australia; Melbourne, Australia, Fiordland National park, New Zealand; Port Chalmers for Dunedin, NZ; Lyttelton for Christchurch, NZ; Picton, NZ; Wellington, NZ; and Tauranga for Rotorua NZ; 

 

As with all of Princess Cruise Line ships, the Diamond Princess has hundreds of onboard activities that appeal to every interest and provide an amazing time at sea for both quilters and non-quilters alike. Bring the whole family as there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Cruise pricing includes all teacher fees and classes, materials & kit fees are additional.  Complete supply lists will be provided upon class confirmation.

 

Optional Pre Cruise Sydney Tour:

In addition to the cruise, we are including an optional pre-cruise extension of your Australia/New Zealand journey with a 4 day -  3 night Sydney adventure that includes visits to some of Sydney's most famous sites.  Our tentative pre-cruise Sydney itinerary:

 

January 8, 2013: Independent arrival at our hotel and free afternoon with a group dinner meeting scheduled.

 

January 9, 2013:  Orientation tour of Sydney with a visit to the picturesque Botanical Gardens, Conservatorium of Music, Art Gallery, Opera House and Sydney Harbor Cruise.

 

January 10, 2013:  Private tour of Featherdale Wildlife Park where we will have the opportunity to see Australian native animals such as the Kangaroo's, Koala's, Possums, Emu's and native birds.  The afternoon is free for you to enjoy the Sydney area.

 

January 11, 2013:  Private coach transfer to the Diamond Princess with quilt shop hops along the way.

 

Price for the above option is $1050 per person (double) inclusive of breakfast daily except on day of arrival.

Fare(s) in USD, per person, based on double occupancy, cruise only, subject to availability, are capacity controlled, may be limited by residency.  Government port fees and taxes of  $230.00 are per person and are additional. Princess Cruises® reserves the right to impose a fuel supplement of up to $9 per person per day on all passengers if the NYMEX oil price exceeds $70 per barrel, even if the fare has already been paid in full.
